Myanmar Beach Holiday

Myanmar is blessed with seemingly endless expanses of idyllic coastline with pristine, unspoiled beaches. Among Myanmar's loveliest beaches are the following: Ngapali, Chaung Thar and Ngwe Saung. Since Myanmar Beaches are renowned for their natural and unspoiled beauty, both local and foreign visitors go there. The most popular beach season in Myanmar is between mid-October to mid-April.Since the majority of Myanmar beaches face west , the sunsets are stunning to view while relaxing on the white sand. Most Myanmar beaches are very serene and quite since speedboats are not permitted and the beaches are usually not crowded. The other thing to do other than just relaxing on Myanmar's white sand beaches to splashing around in the sea such as traditional bullock - cart riding, horseback riding, cycling or simply walking along the beach. For beach lovers, Myanmar has the your dreams.

Ngapali Beaches

Ngapali Beach, which is the best-known beach of Myanmar, is in Rakkhine State. It is on the long and narrow western coast of Myanmar stretching over 3 km., backed by swaying palms and casuarinas. It is beautiful beach with blue, inviting water. Ngapali Beach is divided by high mountain ranges from the mainland.The name " Ngapali " came from a popular story. The story is about home sick Italian who lived here for a while. He told everyone the beach reminded him of beaches near Naples; hence, came the name " Ngapali " . Nagapali Beach can be reached by a 45 minutes flight from Yangon to Thandwe airport and ,then , it is just 20 minutes drive.

Some visitors choose to visit this island nearby Ngapali Beach. Boat are available to transport them there. The island are popular for snorkeling, sea kayaking , caramaran sailing and wind surfing. A visit to pearl island is also popular to watch the pearl production . Visitors of Ngapali Beach can enjoy not only swimming but also excursions to nearby villages to watch the manufacture of traditional earthen ware pots, to see Rakkhine longyi made and to see some of the famous pagodas.

Ngwe Saung Beach

It is newly opened beach about 48 km. from Pathein. This unspoiled beach stretches along 15 km. of white sand and blue sea. There are newly constructed bungalows with local flavor but equipped with modern facilities. All the hotels face the beach and are fringed with palm trees.

 


Chaung Tha Beach

Adventurous travelers who want to enjoy sightseeing only by automobile would probably prefer Chaung Tha beach; near Pathein, Ayeyarwaddy Division. It is a 5 hours drive from Yangon by private car or by public transportation. It is 150 miles from Yangon. The beach is about one mile long and extends from the main village to where over a dozen hotels are located. Another interesting attraction near Chaung Tha Beach, is Kyaiuk-pa-hto , which is a large rock that has been carved into a cave shrine.Two islands that are visible offshore from Chaung Tha Beach are : Thein-byu and Hpagala.
Traveling to Chaung Tha Beach is cheaper and more convenience compare to other beaches in Myanmar. Business men often come to Chaung Tha Beach to do their business since they can also relax there ,since the most of the hotels have separate business center for business travelers.
