Taungpyone Nat
Festival
The Taungpyone Nat Festival is located 10
km. north of Mandalay, Myanmar's most famous
Nat (spirit) festival.It is held from the
10th day of waxing to the full moon of
Wagaung and lasts 6 days. It is very
boisterous.This event is attened by
worshippers of Nat, especially traders and
merchants who want help to earn more
profits!
Yadanagu Pwe
The Yadanagu Pwe is held in honour of Popa
Medaw, the mother of the Taungpyone
brothers.

The Mount Popa Nat Festival is held from the
9th - 13th days of the waning moon of
Wagaung to celebrate the departure of the
Taungpyone brothers of China.
