Golf has played since colonial times in Myanmar . The British established the first golf club in Rangon in 1909 at the Yangon Golf Club today. Yangon City Golf ResortYangon City Golf Resort is a 30 minutes' drive from downtown Yangon. There are two 18- holes courses which are: the. Ngwe Taw Tar (Silver) Course, opened in 1994 with 7000 yards in total range and Myakantha (Pondy) course opened in 1996 with 6,208 yards range. Both courses were designed by Yangon City Development Committee. Because they were also designed by Han Golf Master (a company related to Myanmar's PGA Pro "Kyi Hla Han") these are considered to be among the best courses in Myanmar. Unofficially , it's ranked second after Pun Hlaing ( which is renowned for its well maintained fairways and greens ).City Golf Club has hosted APGA Tours two times - in 1998 and 1999

no golfer should miss playing. It is
considered the best course for the
golfers who love nature. It has
recently hosted APGA Tours in
January, 2000.

basic (no electricity at night), so
we do not recommended it for an
overnight stay. Although its built
around a large beautiful lake, the
fairways are very dry due to poor
maintenance.

feeling of awe when playing golf
among these 1,000 years old temples.
As Bagan itself is located in a hot
zone, playing golf there is a bit
hot during the afternoon. So, the
best time is to play in the early
morning. Then, you can enjoy both
the view of the temples and the cool
atmosphere of the morning air.

ft. above sea level. The natural
springs, flowers, mature trees and
wooded hillsides greatly contrast to
the arid lands surrounding it and,
therefore, it is called the "oasis
of the dry zone". The climate is
also totally different from
neighboring Bagan.

excellent locker room & shower and
the clubhouse restaurant has
excellent food.With its carefully
designed hills and lakes, this
course is considered to be one of
the best as well as most challenging
courses in Myanmar. It's a "must to

parents enjoying golf in the midst
of the plantation and greenery, kids
can enjoy fishing, boating, and
other facilities. Rooms are fully
furnished and attractive ,so it is a

because its only 1 hour away from
famous Inle lake by driving.

talk to the authority concerned for
detail procedure. As Ngapali beach
is a very beautiful natural white
sand beach, this golf course can
become a world class golf course.
